Middle School & High School Information
Butte Track Club does not hold formal practice for middle school and high school athletes. We do however encourage middle school and high school athletes participating in USATF summer meets to join the track club. Butte Track Club pays USATF entry fees for its members, so it quickly becomes more cost effective for athletes to join the club and compete, rather than paying and competing unattached.
Grade School Information
Outdoor practices for grade school athletes (grades 1-6) are on Tuesday each week beginning Tuesday, June 9th from noon (12:00 pm) to 1:00pm at Charlie Merrifield Track, Bulldog Memorial Stadium. We are excited to announce that the Montana Tech Track & Field coaches and athletes are running our summer program again this year, creating a terrific opportunity for our young athletes to interact with college-age athletes and role models.
Meet Schedule
- June 19-20: USATF Montana Championships (Butte, MT)
- July 9-11: USATF Region 11 Championships (Idaho St., Pocatello, ID)
- July 18-19: Big Sky State Games (Lockwood, MT)
- July 22 – Aug 2: USATF JO Nationals (Cerritos College, Norwalk, CA)
Registration
Registration for the 2026 season will open May 15th. View registration instructions here.
Season fees for the 2026 season are $40 and includes USATF State/Regional meet fees. Additionally, a USATF membership is required and costs $35 annually.
